Yes, we arrived safely...the car rattled down Route 95 fairly well, considering that it had an extra half-ton of weight! It was exactly 10 hours, with stops. We were greeted with a UHaul rented by the former tenants, still moving out at 7:45 p.m. We were so thankful that we weren't in motion anymore that we just smiled and shrugged and grilled them for local information as they moved their bikes, spare tires, and piano. Now the cats are exploring the basement, the dogs are woofing at any and all movement on the sidewalks, and we're just trying to keep cool! Let's hear from YOU!
Okay, folks, we've finally entered the 20th century-- Here, at long last, are the weekly results of our lil' picks pool (*** denotes week's leader in that category): George line: 9-7 George straight: 10-6 Curry line: 5-11 Curry straight: 9-7 Travis line: 7-9 Travis straight: 11-5*** (Steve) Russell line: 11-5 Russell straight: 5-11 Donia line: 13-3*** Donia straight: 11-5 The co-commissioner congratulates Russell on the palindromic symmetry of his picks results! And yes, I know that there's probably an HTML code to create a table--I'll figure it out one of these days... Keep those comments comin'!
north liberty cakepans Originally uploaded by Curry Rose . This is the circulating cakepan collection at the North Liberty, Iowa library --famous (at least, to Curry) for its great youth services, especially teen services. Anyway, library patrons can check out these cute cakepans just like books! (this photo only reflects a small portion of their collection!) We just came from cute Davenport, Iowa, 1/4 of the "Quad Cities." We stopped into a cool coffeehouse, Theo's, on Brady Street (sorry, they don't have a website yet). Altoona awaits!
