things to do in Denver when you're...

(x-posted to reading, yet rocking?) Hey, you know how the Denver airport was closed earlier this week? Well, guess where our flight to Albuquerque was routed through? Yes, you guessed it, the Mile High city, or as we now call it, the Mile-Long Line city. As my stepfather told me, airport stranding stories are about as interesting as accounts of wisdom teeth removal and your latest diet, no matter how polite people are in asking about these kind of incidents. However, in the interest of historical "I was there" record, let me just tell you, the Denver Airport on Friday & Saturday was like Purgatory. And not the "Lost" TV show kind of Purgatory either, but the really bad kind. I know, I just angered the "Lost" fans out there, but I'm willing to take that risk. We knew that we were not going to get out of Denver on our original flight to Albuquerque, but we also knew that we had to get to Denver if we wanted any chance of getting to ABQ. Where were we...

the easiest cookies ever

Trailer Park cookies (so-called because this recipe was discovered by Curry's mom while she was traveling by RV throughout the USA!) The cakemix cookie recipe is very simple: 1 box cake mix 1 cup dry cereal 1 egg 1 stick of butter Roll into 1-inch balls, place onto ungreased cookie sheet, bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. The original flavor is lemon, using lemon cake mix (extra moist variety if possible) and rice krispies cereal. Also good is spice cake mix and a cup of raisin bran with some extra raisins thrown in, plus a few teaspoons of water added to make it moister. Also try: white cake mix with fruit loops, or chocolate cake mix with cocoa puffs... YUM!

spike it!
